The role of the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is to foster impeccable communication and to establish a means for coordinated activities on behalf of the total school community. We are responsible for maintaining good communication between the home and school and for providing a vehicle through which parents can feel connected and offer their time, talent and treasure to SSM.

Board Meetings

The PTO board meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the School Library. If you have a concern that you would like to address to the Board, please contact a board member in advance to put your concern on the agenda.

Fundraising

Fundraising is one of the main focuses of the PTO. The funds that we raise go directly back into the school to pay for expenses including technology, related arts, library and overall academic functionality. Fundraising also supports school activities such as the 8th grade graduation breakfast, 8th grade scholarship program, staff and student Christmas gifts, Back to School Night for parents, events during Catholic Schools Week and Field Day.  From time to time, funds are also used for special projects. All of the PTO fundraising efforts help with keeping tuition and book bill rates reasonable.

All PTO events are advertised via Wednesday folder and the Remind app and can only be successful with the help of our parents and volunteers.  If you are interested in supporting any event, please reach out to any member of our Board or the school office.  It takes a village and SSM has the best one around!
